- 50 year career in the finance industry, modeling a wide range of projects and equipment finance.

Knowledgeable in Emergency Medical issues
- 20 years as an EMT on the Sugar Bowl Ski Patrol
- Recently completed the Lamorinda/MOFD CERT course

Knowledgeable of MOFD’s affairs
- I have been reviewing MOFD’s finances since 2008.
- In 2012, as part of a group of private citizens, created a report for the City of Orinda summarizing MOFD’s service to Orinda, 15 years after the district was formed. Report included sections on operations, finance, and governance.
- I continue to stay abreast of MOFD’s finances

Knowledgeable of Wildfire Prevention issues
- In 2023 I took a graduate level course at UC which examined wildfire prevention, including modeling and fuel mitigation, which created a plan for The Sea Ranch based on the proposal made by Orinda resident Dr. John Radke to Orinda in 2022 which the SSTOC (Supplemental Sales Tax Oversight Commission) recommended to the City Council but was rejected by the City Manager.
- I have reviewed Orinda’s modeling of evacuation in the event of wildfire (OrindaReady.com), and made suggestions to the city to make it more relevant that my MS in Transportation Planning helps me do.
- I have taken advantage of MOFD’s Ambassador wildfire prevention assessment program plus MOFD’s home hardening grant program.
